Spring 2013 | Styling a maxi dress different ways

Hey CuraGlammers,

I've started with my spring series on YouTube a week ago. I did a Nail Affair and a DIY.
Today I got a fashion video for you guys.
This spring I don't have allot of money to spend on clothes and accessories. So I decided to do what I do best. Styling one piece different ways. Today I styled my new white maxi dress 3 different ways. I tried to incorporate the different spring trends in all the outfits.

Outfit Nr1.

This first look I have decided to dedicate it to stripes. Allot of people don't really like wearing stripes from top to bottom. So a more subtle way to wear it is in a cropped jacket. And since black and white is a trend also. I chose for a black and white color pallet.

Bridal Runway & more Curaçao | Casting & My experience

Hello CuraGlammers, 

If you guys follow me on Facebook you might have already seen a video or a picture run around of the Bridal Runway. Today I'm going to write about my experience since the casting took place.

Bridal Runway is a show that will be taking place on May 4th, 2013 at the Renaissance Resort.
G!EMPIRE and Celebrations made a collaboration this to make the show possible. It is a new concept that they brought to the table and till now it's a great success.
When I heard of this event I mailed them as a blogger to cover the whole event & behind the scenes.
Well I got a warm welcome to join and I was really happy with their reaction.

Tell us about yourself.
 I am a very dedicated person as to what I am doing or what I am focused on. Depending on the matter that presents itself I may easily change directions or adapt the way of reading my goal. Talent wise my mom has raised me to do everything as humbly as I can and as real as I can from the heart. That's why my name is BeReal. As an Artist I used to sing in Angelitos which is my mothers singing group. After that I danced with my brother and gave class at Fina Dance Art School. When I got tired of that I started my own dance group called ATA. We gave a few promo shoes and a huge show in Luna Blou called life. We also won the Queens Day breakdance competition a couple of times with the crew Genetically Enhanced and as Phychodelix.

Curaçao International Film Festival Rotterdam | Children of God

Hello CuraGlammers,

In the week of 4 - 7 of April here in Curaçao took place the Curaçao International Film Festival Rotterdam. This event took place last year for the first time and came back this year again for a second time. And I've got to say. Every time it gets better and better.
This year it took place again at the Cinemas Curaçao and Renaissance.

Curaçao International Film Festival Rotterdam is one of the many events that let local people showcase their talent in different ways. This year they did a B&W picture contest and also just as last year everyone could have made a short movie of 5 minutes to share with the public.
This contest called, Short movies, Big stories , was a great hit with people from all over sending videos and showcasing their talent. Of course there were prices for the two best short films.

At the festival there was also allot of films from all over the world that hasn't been published yet or were used only in festivals that were showcased. Everyone had the chance to buy a ticket to watch the movies that they wanted to see and meet some of the directors of the movies.

Hey CuraGlammers,

Got some excited news. As you've already read in the title, the B&BW candles made it to Curaçao!!
Yes !! It's no joke!
When I heard this news I rushed out of the house to go and see what I can get. Thank God the collection was still there.
It was a small collection though, but as they say, better something than nothing, right?
So they had somewhat of 6 scents. At first I bought one, the Vanilla Coconut.
Later I went with my mother and bought another one, Peach Bellini, since I couldn't resist.

I already lid the Peach Bellini, cause my mother couldn't wait for me to do a haul video on it. She was excited to try it out. And is loving it till now.

Tell us a little about yourself.
I am a 20 year old religious boy that likes to have fun, I can't tell much about myself because there is not much.
I own a company named Margin Entertainment and I live in a house with a beautiful mother and a sister, I have many goals and ambitions and is working to reach them everyday.

Describe your personal style.
I am a classy guy type but I still like the rudeness in it.
For example I like wearing a long sleeve shirt and letting the top buttons unbuttoned.

We know you have a math program,'Treinen di Matematiko pa skol basiko', for primary schools. Where did you get the idea to make this program?
I got this idea from a friend, he told me that it would be a good idea to start of with kids and so I started thinking about it and 2 years later it has became a reality

Which schools have already helped you with this program?

Many schools have been helped with this program, for example the ERASMUS school and many individual clients.

What was the reaction of the School board and primary schools when you presented them this program?
The reaction I received where very positive and I cant say much but it was accepted with 2 open hands.
At first I did not know I was going to receive such a good acceptance but my hard work has finally paid off and the acceptance was worth it.

How was the reaction from your family when they found out about this program? Did they help you in any way?

Yes, my family helped me allot. My mother helped me ALLOT, they were with me since the beginning to the end. They helped me sell allot of copies and also with allot of events (either by being there or giving me their advice)

What kind of feedback do you get from your buyers?
Most of the time I get a good feedback and sometimes I get some constructive criticism to improve the math software.
And every opinion I get I try to improve my software to the maximum so the next version of this software will be very great.
They was proud and liked the direction I was taking.

Will you be making more programs like this in the near future?
Yes I will be making more software's including video games.
because since I can remember video games was my passion and I cant wait to make my first commercial video game, even I myself wait for that moment.

Nail Affair | Carrie Diaries' purse inspired tutorial

Hey CuraGlammers,

We all know that the new series Carrie Diaries has started in January 2013. Most girls that loved Sex and the City went crazy for the series and so did I.
It gives so much fashion inspiration and DIY ideas. Well since I love doing nails I decided to incorporate the ideas into nail designs.
One of the most popular DIY project that this show has started was the Nail polish purse.
Everyone has been doing this DIY like crazy on blogs and YouTube. I decided to change it a little.
I went for the nail design.
Since it is inspired I did not do a exact replica of the bag. I just showed a new technique to make your nails look awesomely messy yet trendy.

Curacao Carnival Diary : Runner up Carnival Teen King 2013

Hey CuraGlammers,

I said that this year I wouldn't shop anymore, because I wanted to save money to go to on vacation this year. Well that worked for maybe 2 weeks only, because today I already bought this awesome cardigan I saw on Forever21.

I always do some browsing online and I saw allot of things I wanted, but I was particularly looking for an leather item or something leopard printed. I came along this BEAUTIFUL cardigan and immediately ordered it.

Curaçao Carnival Diary | Tumba Hubenil 2013

As you guys can read in the title this is going to be a post about Curaçao Carnival. This year a group came up with a new idea to start a Diary of the Curaçao Carnival. This is to help everyone to keep up with the Carnival season. To check them out click here.

The Carnival season has started on January 5,2013 with a great Jump-up.
Even though we didn't blog about this Jump-up we are sure that we will be covering most of the Carnival main events that happen here in Curaçao. So this time we are covering the Tumba Hubenil 2013.
I saw the event on TV, so I will be reviewing the organisation and the TV production itself, Tele Curaçao.

Saturday January 12,2013 at International School took place the Festival Tumba Hubenil 2013. Where 15 teens participated to sing their Tumba to Curaçao. Every participant made their show as unique as they could with their own little twist on it.

New Year's Eve outfit ideas

Got new post for you guys.
The year is almost over and most of us are making our New Year's resolution list.
Well I'm done with that list. I won't be making those any time soon.

But for those of you who are still worried what to wear on New Year's Eve I got MOST of you covered.
From casual to dressy. All of these outfits I have paired with heels but you guys can also pair them with flats. Make the outfit comfortable to your liking.

Christmas Holiday Outfits | One dress styled 5 different ways

Hey cuties,

It almost Christmas, in about 3 days. And allot of you guys are still clueless what to wear!
I was too until I checked out in my closet and saw all the single pieces in there. They were just laying around since I didn't have pants or blouses or accessories to pair with them. But with a bit of creativity I made them work and got 5 outfits for you guys by styling only one dress.
So less money to spend and more money for gifts.

First outfit - Fierce with pop of color 

The dress on itself is really simple.
Sinch your waist in with a metallic red belt to get the Christmas vibe going on.
Wear some leopard heels for some fierceness and pop of print.
Pair the outfit with a simple black clutch.

This outfit is a bit more daring since mettalic and leopard isn't ecerybody's comfort zone.
Since the oufit is a plain color you can also go for the zebra print,
houndstooth or even some spiked heels.
Go with what you like to make the outfit your own.

Outfit is great for going out clubbing with friends. Making all the heads turn to you. Giving you some extra attention that we all like.

This week we got another CuraGlammer in the spotlight, a teenager that happen to be in wheelchair because of an accident that happened 3 years ago. He has been organizing an event to help more people that has the same back problems as him. So I interviewed him to let you guys know more about his story.

Tell us a little about yourself.
I am a 22 year old guy that has a passion for music. A guy with a sense of humor. Loves to be happy and laugh. Positive, open minded. A person with courage towards positivity. Loves to help and to be an inspirations for others. Also faith is something I live with. I am a catholic and I believe in God and that He is my guide trough everything in my life.

I heard you had an accident that put you in a wheelchair. Can you tell us more about that?
Yes, 22nd of November 2009 I have had I car accident due to a heart disorder I had at that
moment that I was actually born with but I didn’t know. This heart disorder is called “Wolf
Parkingson White Syndrome”. It puts your heart beat irregularly. Any given time you heart
can start to beat pretty fast or really slow. When I was driving it happened to me and I got
a blackout. The car lost control and I hit another car. I didn't had a scratch but somehow i broke a
bone of my spinal column. I had a spinal cord injury.

How have you been dealing with all the changes since the accident?
Well, in the beginning as I say in my speeches; there were only 3 things I could do independently. Cry, think and talk to God. It was a long process to learn how to deal with my situation and during this process a learned allot. For example that there is always someone worse than me, that I have plenty years more of life and more than I already have lived. I learned that sometimes you really have to put your own feelings beside you to concentrate on your goal. My situation right now is that I am in a wheelchair . I cannot use all the muscle of my body. Actually from my shoulders down has been affected of this injury. I’m grateful that I have regained some function in my fingers. So this in situation involves planning, patience, courage, tolerance, perseverance. All of this together every moment of the day so that I can achieve anything I want during the day. I think my motivation comes from God and because everything is possible especially for God. Every time something happens that I can’t explain I say it’s God because there is no other explanation.
I can’t really say how I've been dealing with these changes I just do it and my strength and
motivation comes from God and other things a want to achieve because I have hope and will
that I will recover completely.
I think because of my positive attitude about my situation and my determination and faith
for the future I get the people around my also to be positive and to support me more.

What are you doing now? 
I am finishing my school. Waiting to start 4 and a half months of internship so that I can get
my ICT-manager’s diploma. I spend my week mostly 4 times a weak swimming one our in
the morning for therapy, and also at home.

Tell us about ‘Fundashon Alton Paas’.
Because of my experience abroad and also the limitations we have here in curacao we tougth
that it could be better. That is why we founded "Fundashon Alton Paas" to raise awareness
and to work for a better quality of life for people with a Spinal Cord Injury. This foundation
was founded 7 September 2012. Fundashon Alton Paas has its first project; Fundashon Alton
Paas to Project Walk. This is a project to send 3 persons including me to a internationally
recognized non-profit spinal cord injury recover center. Where the 3 persons will received a
intense exercise-based program to improve their quality of life for 6 months.

Tell us about the event that will take place on upcoming 2 December.
Music With Fundashon Alton Paas is the first fundraising of the foundation and also the first
project. I am a musician and the things i did with music is in this fundraising. I was in a choir
so we have "kor santa famia". I was in drum- and brassband and also a couples of bands.
They will be there too. Such as BEM, St jozef brassband, CPB, drumband di adventista,
Hershel Rosario and friends, Tumbao.
We shall raise money trough a "Kliko", a recycle bin. There will be a kliko at Brionplein where everyone can give a donation by putting money in the kliko.
The events starts at 16:00 till 23:00 it will be at Brionplein upcoming 2 December 2012.

What are your plans for the near future?
I'm planning to finish school and get a job. I would like to have my own car and house for me
and my girlfriend. Depending of the other degrees that I may get here in curacao I may keep
studying.

What are your words of advice for the readers on my blog and out there?
My words of advice is to invest in a balanced life. Don't turn your life in a routine and neither out
of control. For balance keeps every part of you satisfied. Body, mind and soul.

We should all support Alton and the other 2 guys that will be there on 2 December. Giving a little bit or allot, everything helps. So I will see you guys this Sunday!!

Yesterday, November 17th 2012, the TCB members went to Penha for a little make up training. Arriving there I saw the girls sitting with a mirror in front of them and I got super excited. The girls were so nice dressed up.

I have to say, to everyone that doesn't know of Bobbi Brown start looking for some information because these make-ups are the bomb! It's light, natural looking and it's also for dark skin colored girls. So everyone will be happy. TRUST ME!

Tell us a little about yourself.
I'm a really cool person who loves to laugh and have fun. A little bit short tempered sometimes,  but focused when needed. Creative, determined and ready to give the best of me to achieve what I want.

When did you start doing photography?
I always had a thing for photography but I originally started about 2 years ago.

What is Photography for you?
To me Photography is expressing myself with no boundaries. It's like an opportunity to show the world through my vision.

Tell us a little bit about your business.
Well R&S Photography is an innovative business. We aim for the unique, we aim for to make a difference. We are a small but fast growing company who is always thinking outside of the box.

What or who inspired you to start a photography business?
Well my inspiration came from seeing many photographers on the job. Photographers like Theo Meijer and Harry Davelaar, but my real inspiration came from Sir Arthur St. John who is an amazing photographer.

How is the support of family and friends towards this business?
The support is great. I couldn't ask for more.



How is it to work in a team and not alone?
Great minds think alike. I think that is the key of woeking with the team I have right now. We plan together and we do it together. Everybody adds their own taste and ideas and we make it one BIG master plan. I don't think it would be the same if I went solo.

Are you guys planning on going international with your business?
Yess, really soon that is.

Where do you see yourself in 5 to 10 years?
Having my own Photography studio and taking pictures for a professional model magazine or my own magazine.

Event | Mac Technique [How to & tips]

Hey cuties,

On Saturday November 3rd a couple of the TCB girls were invited to the Mac Technique event. Since there was only 3 girls of the group aloud we couldn't all go. This time Jenny, Berry and me got the chance.
When we arrived we got a warm welcome from one of the make up artists of MAC. She showed us where to sit and a nice gentleman offered us a glass of champagne. Where we sat there was a MAC-map with a little compilation of guidelines and a product checklist.

So to what I learned I want to share them with you guys. Everything I do write is my own opinion and my own experience in comparison with what I learned.
