Nail Affair | Carrie Diaries' purse inspired tutorial

Hey CuraGlammers,

We all know that the new series Carrie Diaries has started in January 2013. Most girls that loved Sex and the City went crazy for the series and so did I.
It gives so much fashion inspiration and DIY ideas. Well since I love doing nails I decided to incorporate the ideas into nail designs.
One of the most popular DIY project that this show has started was the Nail polish purse.
Everyone has been doing this DIY like crazy on blogs and YouTube. I decided to change it a little.
I went for the nail design.
Since it is inspired I did not do a exact replica of the bag. I just showed a new technique to make your nails look awesomely messy yet trendy.

Check the video out to see how to do this design.

Which other design would you guys want to see? Let me know in the comments down below.

This weeks CuraGlammer | Rodrick Lodowica

Hey cuties,

It's November, well it has been for like 13 days already. This month I decided to dedicated to the young men here in Curaçao that do something with their life. Something that will inspire others.
This week we got a young adult teen  photographer. So let's meet him.

Name: Rodrick Lodowica
Nickname: Rodje / Doddy
Age: 21
Occupation: Container Controller @CPS
Hobbies: Photography, making music, singing, gaming

Tell us a little about yourself.
I'm a really cool person who loves to laugh and have fun. A little bit short tempered sometimes,  but focused when needed. Creative, determined and ready to give the best of me to achieve what I want.

When did you start doing photography?
I always had a thing for photography but I originally started about 2 years ago.

What is Photography for you?
To me Photography is expressing myself with no boundaries. It's like an opportunity to show the world through my vision.

Tell us a little bit about your business.
Well R&S Photography is an innovative business. We aim for the unique, we aim for to make a difference. We are a small but fast growing company who is always thinking outside of the box.

What or who inspired you to start a photography business?
Well my inspiration came from seeing many photographers on the job. Photographers like Theo Meijer and Harry Davelaar, but my real inspiration came from Sir Arthur St. John who is an amazing photographer.

How is the support of family and friends towards this business?
The support is great. I couldn't ask for more.

How is it to work in a team and not alone?
Great minds think alike. I think that is the key of woeking with the team I have right now. We plan together and we do it together. Everybody adds their own taste and ideas and we make it one BIG master plan. I don't think it would be the same if I went solo.

Are you guys planning on going international with your business?
Yess, really soon that is.

Where do you see yourself in 5 to 10 years?
Having my own Photography studio and taking pictures for a professional model magazine or my own magazine.

How can we connect with you if we want to see more of your work?
I have some of my work on my Facebook page: http://www.facebook.com/RSPhotographyCuracao
On my personal Facebook account: http://www.facebook.com/rodrick.lodowica
Or on our website: www.rspcuracao.com (under construction at the moment)

So let's see some more of his work. And don't forget to check out his Facebook to see more of his artwork. Soon we will feature his partner too. And you guys can read about his point of view.

Event | Lancôme Paris new fragrance | La vie est Belle

Hey cuties,

Last Thursday was a big day for me and the other TCB girls. We were invited by Penha store to go to the launch of the new Lancôme fragrance, La vie est belle! This fragrance has the most wonderful meaning:

' “La vie est belle”, a French expression meaning “Life is beautiful”; the manifesto of a new era.  Universal yet personal, Lancôme’s femininity is a choice embraced by women, not an imposed standard.  The choice to live one’s life and fill it with beauty. Your own way. '

And as we all can see, Julia Roberts is the face of this new fragrance of Lancôme's. The design of the bottle resembles her smile. See the curve in the bottle is comparing to her beautiful smile.

Nail Affair | Spook me out [Marvel nails]

Hey cuties,

It's almost Halloween, in two days you guys can go crazy and all out with dressing up, make up and nails.
Since I did allot of spooky nail designs I thought of a more cute one this time. The Heroes from Marvel.

Allot of you guys will be dressing like them so why not do the nails like them too.
Or just for the ones that aren't doing anything. Stay home and paint your nails. It's not like you have to get rid of the design by the next day. Marvel nails isn't only Halloween related. They are just something you can wear all year long.

From left to right : Superman, Wonder woman, Captain America, Flash, Green Lantern
To find out how to do this design check the tutorial out:

Have fun doing this design and send me pictures on twitter if you guys try it out.

Back to School series : Revamping your notebooks

Hey cuties,

So school has started for most people. Here at Curaçao all schools have started and allot of people are searching for some information and tips to start the new school year.
And I thought of starting this Back to School series.

First we are going to start with something that will keep you guys busy for after school.
Revamping your notebooks.
I did it and it was fun.  My notebooks are less boring and they have messages to keep me motivated thru out the year.
So I'm going to explain how to make these notebooks:

1. Buy a bunch of boring one colored notebooks.

2. Buy some scrapbook paper, glue and scissors.

3. Cut out the pictures you would like to use for your notebooks.

4. Glue them on your notebooks in a nice form, just the way u like it.

5. Search for some inspirational quotes online and write them down with a marker on your notebook.

6. You can use some adhesive paper to seal everything in so it doesn't come off when u go to school with the notebook.

I did this with only one notebook, because when I got to the other ones I got tired.
But I am planning on doing the other ones soon.

What allot of you guys can do too is also let friends write some messages to inspire you thru out the school year.
For me it always helped. I let my friends write in my planners wishes they have for me for the year.

Some sites u can use to get some inspirational quotes like I did are:
http://www.positivityblog.com/index.php/2007/04/20/21-inspirational-quotes-on-education/
http://www.inspirational-quotes.info/quotes-about-education.html
http://blog.ecollegefinder.org/2011/02/10/top-15-education-quotes-inspirational-quotes/

Scrapbook paper are easy to find at bookstores or at craft stores so you just pic out some fun colorful ones that have nice prints on them and that are easy to cut out.
Try cutting them as neatly as possible, cause if the frame is ugly you will see it when you glue them on.
You can always print out some from you computer or even from magazines.

I also have another Blogger that have done this but with magazines.
http://cristinasfashionsense.blogspot.com/
You guys should check out her revamp on her own notebook and see if you can mix ours together to create some wonderful notebooks.

Remember that you will always be unique with these notebooks. Nobody will have them since they are your style.
So get creative and do what you can do.

So have fun while doing this at home.
See you guys soon and I hope to see some super great Notebooks this school year

Stay true, Be you!

July's Little Black Bag

Hey cuties,

Well in the month of July I ordered my Little Black bag.
I was so excited to order because I saw some backpacks for back to school !
So you can say I did back to school shopping.

If you guys don't know. Little black bag is a monthly subscription website were allot of High end brands come together and sell some of their products. The products can be up to $80, but you buy them for $50 and later get 2 extra items in your bag.
You can trade all of these items starting from the one you bought to the two others you got.
You get a whole week to trade your items.

I bought a Nila Anthony leopard print backpack.
After that I got a Snake Skin necklace and a BCBGeneration bracelet. I also got a bonus gift that was a Anti Snap hair treatment product.
I didn't like the Snake Skin Necklace so I really wanted to trade it. I got allot of offers I did not like.  So I was about to give up but 3 days before the ending of the trading someone wanted to trade the Robert Rose 3 rings with me. So I took it.

The BCBGeneration Bracelet wasn't suposed to get traded, but I got a offer for the Nila Anthony bag ( a different one) and I took it. School is about to start and I need a backpack much more than a bracelet.

All in all I was happy with what I got.

I would really say it is worth it to pay the $50. Everything came out perfect. I loved them all.
So I hope you guys try it out and let me know how it was.

See you guys soon,
Olyboly
